meet Eric
in 2011, Davids founder Eric Buss became curious about the toothpaste ingredients he was putting in his mouth twice a day and began researching them.
He quickly discovered that many of the ingredients were not optimal for health, and somewhat controversial. After searching for better alternatives, and not happy with what was available, the "simple" idea of creating his own toothpaste company was born. This idea turned into a four-year personal obsession for Eric to develop the highest quality, highest performance, and most sustainable toothpaste available.
Through exhaustive research and much trial and error, Eric was able to formulate a toothpaste that had not existed…. one that not only had naturally derived ingredients but was also high performance. Also, while talking to ingredient suppliers, Eric found that other toothpaste companies often use imported ingredients in their "Made in USA" toothpaste, which led to his commitment for using premium USA origin ingredients whenever possible to support American jobs.

We are sulfate free, teflon (PTFE) free, pfas free, fluoride free, and cruelty free. All of our formulas are also Vegan. You will not find a warning label on Davids products, because they are non-toxic and safe for all ages.
